Juventus remain committed to securing a Kenan Yildiz contract extension, with talks continuing between the black and white club and the 20-year-old’s representatives.
According to Sky Sport, negotiations between Juventus and Yildiz’s camp are progressing, with the main sticking point being the adjustment of the Turkish international’s salary. The player’s current deal runs until 2029, a contract he signed after arriving from Bayern Munich in 2022.
The crux of the matter centres on finding middle ground between what the player’s entourage demands and what the club is willing to offer to recognise his rapid development. Yildiz currently earns around €1.7 million per season, but his camp is seeking a significant increase to between €5 million and €6 million annually. Juventus have reportedly offered just under €5 million, creating a gap of approximately €1 million between the two parties.
The discussions involve Yildiz’s mother-agent and his lawyer, with both parties expressing hope of reaching an agreement. Since breaking into the first team in 2023, the Regensburg-born attacker has established himself as a cornerstone of Juventus’ project, earning the iconic number 10 shirt previously worn by club legends like Alessandro Del Piero and Roberto Baggio.

This season, Yildiz has registered six goals and seven assists in 22 appearances across all competitions, showcasing the talent that has made him one of Europe’s most sought-after young players. His performances have attracted interest from Premier League clubs including Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham, adding urgency to Juventus’ efforts to finalise the Kenan Yildiz contract extension.
The Turkish international made history earlier this campaign when he became Juventus’ youngest-ever Champions League goalscorer at 19 years and 136 days, breaking a record previously held by Del Piero. His ability to play across multiple attacking positions has been crucial for the Bianconeri as they navigate their season.
Juventus are expected to intensify discussions in the coming weeks, particularly following the recent appointment of Marco Ottolini as sporting director. The club views securing Yildiz’s future as an absolute priority, especially with the January transfer window approaching and European rivals monitoring his situation closely.
