Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola has confirmed Antoine Semenyo will feature against Tottenham on Wednesday, but admitted the fixture could represent an Antoine Semenyo Bournemouth transfer exit, with the winger potentially playing his final game for the Cherries.
“Yes, Antoine will play tomorrow,” Iraola confirmed at his pre-match press conference. When pressed on whether it would be the winger’s final appearance, the Spanish tactician offered a candid response.
“There is nothing signed with Antoine Semenyo. If you ask me personally what I think, with all the noise and this, I think it could be the last game. But I cannot guarantee it.”
Manchester City have been in advanced talks to sign the 25-year-old, with reports suggesting a £65 million deal has been agreed in principle. Personal terms are believed to have been agreed, with Semenyo set to sign a five-year contract.

Iraola acknowledged the uncertainty surrounding the situation. “I understand the market, the noise, but right now there is nothing agreed and nothing signed, so for me he is our player, and I hope he continues,” he added. “But my understanding also is that there’s a chance that it’s his last game.”
Semenyo has been Bournemouth’s standout performer this season. The London-born winger has scored nine goals and provided three assists in 19 Premier League appearances for the 2024-25 campaign. His tally places him third on the Premier League’s scoring chart, behind only Erling Haaland and Igor Thiago.
What Else?
Since joining Bournemouth from Bristol City in January 2023 for £10 million, Semenyo has transformed into one of the league’s most dangerous attackers. His ability to function as both a winger and wide midfielder has made him a crucial asset for Iraola’s side.
Losing Semenyo would be a massive blow for Bournemouth, who are enduring an 11-game winless run. The Cherries sit 15th in the Premier League table and face the daunting task of replacing their leading scorer if the transfer materializes before the window closes.
