Fiorentina have submitted an official offer to Atalanta in the Marco Brescianini transfer, aiming to bolster their squad amid a challenging Serie A campaign.

Transfer specialist Matteo Moretto reports Fiorentina are pushing hard to secure the 25-year-old on loan with an option to buy that would become mandatory if the club avoids relegation.

The Marco Brescianini transfer would see the Italian midfielder reunite with Serie A football after limited opportunities at Atalanta this season. Brescianini has made eight appearances in the 2025-26 Serie A campaign, scoring one goal. His limited playing time contrasts sharply with last season when he featured heavily for the Bergamo side.

Atalanta signed Brescianini from Frosinone in July 2024 on an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy under certain conditions. The 25-year-old stands at 1.88 meters tall and is a left-footed central midfielder capable of playing in other positions.

During the 2024-25 season at Atalanta, Brescianini made 29 appearances, scoring four goals and providing two assists. However, his opportunities have dried up this term, making a move elsewhere attractive.

Lazio and Cagliari have also shown interest in the midfielder, while Bournemouth recently made enquiries. Atalanta prefer not to sanction a straight loan and want guarantees around a future purchase, either through an obligation or a permanent sale.

For Fiorentina, the Marco Brescianini transfer represents a crucial opportunity to add quality and experience. The Viola have endured a torrid start to the season and currently languish near the bottom of the Serie A table.
