Italian sources report the Serie A side have made concrete moves to sign the 23-year-old Dutchman as they prepare for Guendouzi’s imminent departure to Turkey, according to Voetbal Primeur. Lazio are following Taylor with determination, viewing him as one of the most interesting prospects in recent Dutch football.

Ajax are open to selling Taylor this month, with the club hoping to receive between €15 million and €20 million for the midfielder. Taylor’s contract runs until 2027, giving Ajax leverage in negotiations, though he has refused to sign a new deal despite the club’s efforts.
Taylor has made 15 Eredivisie appearances this campaign, scoring two goals and providing four assists. The midfielder is known for his technical ability, tactical intelligence and well-timed forward runs. He can operate as a box-to-box midfielder or in a more central role.
A product of the Ajax Youth Academy, Taylor joined the club in 2010 and made his senior debut in December 2020. He was named the Marco van Basten Award winner as Ajax Talent of the Year in 2023 after scoring nine goals and providing four assists in 44 appearances.
